Notes on Credit for PWISTA Courses, Spring 2008

We can arrange graduate educational credit at Manhattanville College, or undergraduate science content credit at Purchase College, based upon workshop participation, and a paper you write, according to requirements attached separately.

Payment for credit is made to the college that grants the credit.  In addition, there is a separate $35 handling charge.  Please write a separate check made payable to the Research Foundation of SUNY.

SEND ALL APPLICATIONS HARD COPY TO PETER CORFIELD AT THE ADDRESS BELOW.   DO NOT SEND APPLICATIONS DIRECTLY TO THE COLLEGE.  Please mail me your applications with payment arrangements by the end of January.

Manahttanville College:  This credit is graduate, educational credit.  It is not science content credit.  Purchase College has a special arrangement with Manhattanville College; they grant our teachers a discount, so the fee is $280 per credit, or $840 for three credits.  You can pay by check, made out to Manhattanville College, or by credit card.

When you fill out the registration form, just write in the PWISTA Title for the course, and leave the course number blank.   We will fill the course number in, before forwarding your form to Manhattanville College.

Just write $840 for the total for the tuition fees. Make payment to Manhattanville College, either by check, or by giving your credit card information.

SEND THE APLLICATION FORM TO ME, NOT TO MANHATTANVILLE COLLEGE!

Purchase College:  This credit is undergraduate, science credit that can be used towards certification.

The cost for two credits, including all fees to Purchase is $420.20.  You can make out a check to Purchase College, SUNY, or pay by credit card, using the separate form.

The courses are:

Biology for Teachers, BBI1024.20

Chemistry for teachers, BCH1024.20

Physics for Teachers, BPH1024.20

Call me if you plan to take one of these courses!
